Hi there,

I am fairly new to having a forum, and I'm wanting to change my template.  I found one that I like as far as the layout goes, however, I'm concerned that there are other more important things I need to be taking into consideration--but I'm not sure what they are.

What would you recommend that someone keep in mind when choosing a template for a forum?

Your niche is very important, you should think as a audience as what they are interested in and will they join your community ?
Just for example, a console or desktop gamer will mostly prefer a dark style forum whereas if a mobile gamer will prefer a forum with less info in small space and responsive design.

Also you can always check MyBB mods for themes.
