A couple of months ago I moved my forum to a new host. Everything fine.

Now: "508 Resource Limit Is Reached"  ... No-one can log in (including me).

Host support says:

On checking further, I can see that the following php files have high hits which might be a cause for entry process spike.

2673 /sightings/showthread.php

Can you please check this website scripts with the help of your developer and check whether this resolves the problem?

Can anyone offer guidance on this issue?

which plugins you have in active status ?
looks like you are using older version of MyBB which is no longer supported.

I don't think I have any plug-ins active that I can recall. The forum is low traffic and has run fine for many years.

And I can't upgrade if I can't log in.

Backup all your files and database and do the upgrade on your local machine then update everything.

High "hits"? if they're monitoring how often a certain file is being run, you need to find yourself a new host...

According to OP, this issue has since been resolved, so I will be marking this thread to reflect.
