does anyone know of a good php script that lets you have like a media community site? Where members can post Videos, Jokes, Pictures, etc. I Know there are around a million sites like this already out there.
But i want to be able to insert it into my existing layout, and i want it to be easily customizable.
i've been using cutenews, and i've done well with it, BUT it isnt search engine friendly and all the URLS are ugly, and there are no rea permalinks.
I would love for it to be based in PHP and run off a MySQL, and it'd be even cooler to be able to bridge it to a MyBB forum.
I am interested in both commercial and free scripts.

Theres actually 2 cutenews...try Cutenews.RU, it is more active.
Another one is Fusionnews.

I used to use Cutenews extensively but gradually found that there were limitations to a text-based news posting system!
Cutenews.ru is a newer development of Cutenews (if you want to continue using Cutenews I would highly recommend this version)

There are plenty of themes for you to choose from and the installation takes literally 5 minutes (powered by php+mySQL). It's very sleek (not unlike myBB in that respect) and there is also a *huge* range of plugins that will allow you to extend it's functionality by miles.

It's also actively developed
The only main downside for me is that I find the theme side a bit mind-boggling, so have to rely on the (plentiful) themes coded/written by others, and then modify it rather than design one of my own.
With regards to the integration between Wordpress and MyBB, quite a few people are very excited by the forthcoming/upcoming mod by Hangman. You can read more about the development here:
