For those of you who don't know, YaBB is a bulletin board system written in Perl.

While I was browsing the YaBB website, I noticed that, other than the forums, the whole site uses PHP instead of Perl!

Ironic? No?

Hmm thats different, I never even noticed that before.

Did YaBB every get made with PHP?

That's because, according to another PERL BBS, PHP is better for a website, but PERL is better for a BBS.

A group of people made a PHP/MySQL port of YaBB called YaBB SE, but now they've rebranded their product into now what is known as SMF.
