When trying to edit a task:

Warning [2] scandir() has been disabled for security reasons - Line: 394 - File: *admin dir*/modules/tools/tasks.php PHP 5.6.22 (Linux)

Your host has disabled the function scandir()

You could try ask them to enable it.

Bit over the top with the security there to be honest.
