functions.php is sometimes modified (most commonly by Google SEO) but usually not. Feel free to upload them somewhere and PM me a link to the source in them and I'd be glad to take a look.

update: regarding to those two files, it seems that the files are failed to be uploaded during upgrading process, they are there in /inc directory, but with 0 kB. So, I reupload them.

Yes Josh, I was installing google SEO.

there's another problem.

I am using theme that built based on mybb 1.8.5 default theme, now I am using mybb 1.8.7

And it seems 1.8.7 using PNG files for smilies and icons. So, the problem is:

all smilies and icons are failed to load. How can I solved this?
