Hello MyBB community.

First of all, I'm absolutely new to MyBB and especially how to make Friendly URL to work. I have also searched around forum, but there isn't really any that helps a newbie like myself.

So as I have tried enabling Friendly URL in admin panel alone didn't get the job done. Here is my question:
What do I need to do or what code to add to what files  exactly?

There is .htaccess.txt on your MyBB installation. What you need to do is remove the .txt extension (rename it to .htaccess). I prefer the "Automatic Detection" option, so if something goes wrong, there is nothing to worry.

I though have another question. When I go to a threads they shows ID, so what can I do to make them show, maybe, the their title name?

For example:
from:
website.com/thread-2.html (With the title of "How to own a server")

to something like:
website.com/how-to-own-a-server OR
website.com/how-to-own-a-server.html
