They should add this!

If you mean BBCode in signatures (known as MyCode in MyBB), then this is usually turned on by default.

shadow82x, are you suggesting a MyCode editor on the change signature page, or that MyCode is enabled in signatures? If it's the latter, than as michaelh posted, it's already enabled by default. If not, please try to be a little more specific.

I mean the tags like bold, underline, ect. actually on there instead of typing

If you mean the MyCode toolbar which adds the tags for you, then yes it is in 1.4
