out of the blue my users and myself included try to log in, enter username and password...says we have been successfully logged in, yet redirects make to the main forum page and not logged in...says hello there guest.

anyone have any clues as why this is happening all of a sudden...running 1.6.9

I was able to login, but I am unable to logout now...my settings.php

$settings['cookiedomain'] = ".rtr-pca.org";
$settings['cookiepath'] = "/forum/";
$settings['cookieprefix'] = "";

the forum is located at rtr-pca.org/forum

any insight would be appreciated, thanks

1.6 isn't supported I'm afraid, as the last release was well over a year ago. You're also running a painfully old version of 1.6, 1.6.9 was released in December 2012 which is close to 4 years ago, the latest version is 1.6.18, and even that is not supported. You need to upgrade to 1.8 as soon as possible.
