I don't know if this is a bug or works as designed...

how to reproduce
  • take an admin
  • create an usergroup with less permissions than admin group (e.g can't post threads in a forum)
  • set the secondary usergroup of the admin with that created before

now the admin will not be able to post threads in that forum too.

This works with every usergroup with different permissions, and with every type of permission.

I think that an user that belongs to 2 groups should receive the sum of permissions of each group.

The system is working as designed.

You need to set explicit permissions for each group that you have forum permissions for their other memberships for (if that makes sense)

There are explanations I've posted in numerous previous threads.
