Hello, I have two bugs with moderators in my forum.
My forum is in 1.8.8 version.

1. Moderators unintentionally unstick threads when they use "Reply" 
Moderators unable to see Moderator Options when they use "Reply".
This might have started after I upgraded to 1.8.8
When they reply with "Reply" they unintentionally unstick threads they are replying.

EDIT: In my 1.8.7 forum backup I noticed moderators don't see those options too.
But when they reply, it doesn't make threads unsticked, in 1.8.8 it does.

2. Moderators unintentionally change thread starter's subscription method
When moderators do any change on first message of thread, their subscription method applies to thread's starter.
For example I don't want to get any notification, I don't have any subscription for threads I create.
When moderator with " Instant PM Notification " default setting does any change in my thread, my subscription method for that thread also becomes " Instant PM Notification ".

EDIT : I actually couldn't reproduce the 2nd issue, when I created an account and made it moderator and do some tests. But interestingly it still happens when I try with current moderators, when they do any changes on threads I created, my subscription method for that thread changes to their method.

well, must say that i couldnt reproduce those bugs mentioned before
when a mod/or admin replies, quote , post in a thread the same remains as it was, in this case sticky with the option, just before you it the submit button, to stick/unstick the thread.
also no thread subscriptions are changed...
also you have the option to subscribe or unsubscribe
in both cases ive managed to edit/quote/reply with no changes at all.

maybe a theme issue?

I tested in Defaulf theme too, so it's not theme issue. I was also experiencing users getting each others' subscription emails way earlier but it seems it's stopped recently. Maybe after some upgrade.

Hmm, try fresh install then

I won't take that risk for this bug, I don't know how would I add my database, themes and other stuff to fresh install MyBB.

Similar, in my bug they unintentionally unstick threads when they reply. The similar part with your bug is, my bug happens even if I take moderators' permission to stick/unstick. So even though they can't do it manually, they can do it unintentionally.

Also I noticed my 2nd bug isn't only moderators issue, when supermod made some changes in thread I created today, I got his subscription method for that thread. At least he is not getting private messages.

Yes I'm getting your first problem too. Sometimes they don't even know they are doing it. It has happened mostly if they quote a post, but I've not had the problem before 1.8.8

I'm not getting your second problem though.
