No clue why this is happening, but the issue persists on safari. It wasn't happening after yesterday's fix. Now when I visit the site it redirects me to http://dankrp.phy.sx/mybb/index.php%5c which is a 404 page.

Check the .htacces file.
Looks like you have add some extra code.
Site url http://dankrp.phy.sx goes to http://dankrp.phy.sx/mybb/index.php%5c or http://dankrp.phy.sx/mybb goes to http://dankrp.phy.sx/mybb/index.php/ in chrome
%5c is a backslash, but in chrome its add as a "/" after /index.php

You shouldn't need to redirect, index.php should automatically be served, it sounds like your server isn't set up properly. Are you using shared hosting or a server you manage yourself?

Shared hosting from serenity servers.

Then ask them to look at this, as index.php should be set up to be a directory index and should run when you just go to http://dankrp.phy.sx/mybb. Redirecting to /index.php should not be necessary.
