I have already installed the mod to allow mods to activate from profile. I would like more access to my mods, but not give admins status things such as
a plugin to allow super mods access to attachments, help docs, word filters

You do realize that MyBB has an Admin Permissions system. You can pick and choose what things everyone can access on either a per usergroup or per user basis. ACP->Users & Groups->Admin Permissions.
