So I have a Thread Tool set up to work for certain usergroups but members in that specified usergroup can not see the Thread Tool and I cannot figure out why. I've checked the settings of the tool many times now but I still cannot get it to show up for that usergroup. Any ideas why that might be?

OR

If no one can tell me how to get the custom thread tools to show, can a conditional statement be written to only allow an account to see the edit post button if that account wasn't used to make the post? Ex. account 1 can see the edit button on a post made by account 1 but cannot see the edit button on posts made by account 2.
Have you made sure that usergroup has the canusecustomtools permission?
That's the thing. I don't have a setting under the usergroup to allow them to use a custom tool. I've just checked again and it's not there.
^ does the specific group have moderating privileges (i.e. is the group belong to moderators groups) ?
No, but I didn't think it needed to because under the custom tools set up you can choose which groups the tool is available too. Additionally, I'd like people in this usergroup to have access to the custom tools but not the Mod CP or the ability to edit others' posts or anything.
-bump?-
Is there any fix for this? I'm not trying to be a bother, I just need to know if I need to figure out a workaround. Thank you again for any help.
Updated first post. Still would love some help!

Alright, start from the very beginning.

Check the GROUP permissions (All of them.. every tab and sub-tab)

Then, Go to your Mod tool, name it and describe it.

Followed by which forum you want the mod tool in, likewise make sure you have the selected group selected.

Then configure the settings one by one to make sure you are completing all of them with the correct settings.
I have checked the Group permissions many times over. Unless it is titled something other than "Can use Custom Tools", it's not there.
