Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /home/page/public_html/forum2/inc/plugins/dvz_shoutbox.php on line 5

and i cant see other plugins only that plugin error.

plugin's page' Wrote: [ -> ]this plugin requires PHP version 5.4 or higher

php version is shown on the home page of forum admin panel.
you can contact your web host for upgrading php

Insert the {$dvz_shoutbox} variable into your index template.

^ that needs to be added to the index template of your forum's active theme

admin panel >> templates (left side column menu) >> your theme templates >> Index Page Templates >> index

find {$forums} and add {$dvz_shoutbox} above {$forums} & save the template

Got the chat box working but its all messed up any idea how to fix it?

content of styles.txt file from the plugin's pack should be added to bottom of global.css stylesheet of your active theme

admin panel >> themes (left side column menu) >> your theme >> global.css >> edit in advanced mode (tab)
--> navigate to bottom of the stylesheet --> add content from styles.txt --> save the stylesheet

then visit your forum's index page & hard refresh your browser (eg. press CTRL + F5)

ive already upaded the styles.txt at the end of global.css

^ you should remove earlier added content.

it should be added in advanced mode of global.css - and at the bottom
(there will be two tabs - simple mode & advanced mode)
