I'm using 1.2.8. It says failed login attempt. I got back in finally after a reset of the password. But I had to wait 15 minutes. Ehhhh.....

It only gives me 3 tries to login. Since it's my forum and I have Admin access can I can change 3 to more than 3 or infinite. Or is that not recommended for security reasons.

Or can I make 15 minutes less like only 1?

yes as a admin you can change the times Number of tries to login

go to the acp
Board Settings-Change-User Registration and Profile Options

and you will find it in there and you can change the time and the login amounts

is there to stop some dum hacker tring to works out your fourms users passwords
