I upgraded from 1.6.10 to 1.8.8 and the forum (http://forum.openoikos.com) is up to date but I can no longer access the admin panel (http://forum.openoikos.com/ admin / index.php).

It gives me the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method pluginSystem :: run_hooks_by_ref () in /data/vhosts/openoikos.com/subdomains/forum/httpdocs/admin/modules/downloads/module_meta.php on line 33

The forum is a subdomain.
Is anyone able to help me? It is rather urgent.

I solved it by deleting the file module_meta.php.

That's not really the solution, the issue is that the downloads module you have isn't compatible with 1.8. Deleting that file will just stop the module working.
