Is it possible to put good looking slideshow to index page? 

I am actually looking something really similar to this from Xenforo, is it possible?

As you can see it has
  • Ability to close it entirely
  • Tabs with texts on it
  • Place in left area information on it

Yep, it is fairly easy depending on what slider you choose to start with..., it does not necessarily need a plugin as you can easily do it manually.

I think I might use the last one but I want to add tabs and place to write over because I will put news to those slideshows, just like in image I put in 1st message. I want it to be informative, not just look good.

Anything slider has text already setup that you could modify, flex slider has captions that could be modified. Nivo slider has captions that could be modified, etc etc..., there are other sliders out there that you could work with, I just haven't taken the time yet to look into them for mybb and write tutorials for them
