This may be useful for those who use a local board for testing and must redo global templates when transferring to a live board.
1. Go to ACP > Templates > Global Templates.
2. Select a template, copy the template name and body.
3. Go to ACP > Templates > your theme's templates.
4. Select Add Template, paste the template name and body from the global template, save.
5. The new template will now be added under Ungrouped Templates and will replace the global template, which you can remove if you wish.
In short: Copy global templates to your theme's templates.
Now the templates you copied are tied to your theme and are no longer available globally, but if you use one main theme this shouldn't be a problem.
