I will suggest trying default MyBB theme first, check if it is working fine.
If that is the case, then it is issue with your theme and following the below post should fix it

Okay, well the error is nothing to do with the update to 1.8.10, your headerinclude is missing all the javascript variables, no javascript is going to be working at all. Your theme doesn't even include general.js.
View a diff report on your headerinclude template and see what needs adding back, you're missing a lot from your templates.
no i am using php in template and hide extra script that realy not needed for non logged user for fast page loading reason to improve seo.
and all .js that have not found in guest mood is also have avalible in logging mood
