I am doing a clean install and it tells me that  need to remove the lock file.

There is not lock file showing in my install folder and Filezilla is forced to show hidden files.

Any ideas?

Either the page is being cached by your server, or your file system is cached/not showing it up. Did you already have a forum installed? As the lock file isn't included in a fresh download.
