ok so im setting up a forum using mybb 1.8 and i noticed when i click on a forum it has no fid and it ends in html instead of php does anyone know how i can fix this if so it would be a great help below i have attached some screenshots.

ACP -> Configuration -> Server and Optimisation Options -> Enable search engine friendly URLs? -> set to Enabled, save and make sure you rename the default htaccess.txt file to .htaccess (without extension)

These are just the search engine friendly URLs, they work exactly the same either way. Is there a reason you'd prefer the .php version? If you disable Search Engine Friendly URLs in the Server and Optimization settings they'll go back to being .php, but people usually prefer the .html URLs as they're a bit cleaner.
