Hi. I just uploaded files to my directory and tried to begin installation of the forum. Instead of installation it downloads the file "download". Can anyone help me with this? Thank you

Who's your host? Do they definitely support PHP? Can you post the URL you're trying to install on? It sounds like the server is configured to serve PHP files as downloads rather than execute them, which typically happens on hosts that don't support PHP.

I use godaddy as a host. Does it support PHP?

It does, in that case I'd recommend asking them about this as it sounds like something is misconfigured on your server.
