If you check the box "Put the editor in source mode by default" in other options it causes a problem with Post Preview.
Option checked the preview jumps back to the editor after 1 second.
Option unchecked the preview stays where it should.
It's doing it on the MyBB community forum so it's easy to check.

Sorry to bump this but I noticed it keeps getting moved to a new Milestone.
It was said on Feb 28 "This is likely caused by SCEditor focusing automatically on the source mode textarea."
Would anyone know a fix for this that I could apply myself please as it looks like 1.8.13 could be a while yet and there is no fix mentioned.

Thank you for the reply Eldenroot. That is a shame, so it looks like we are stuck with the problem till it's sorted by another supplier if it ever gets sorted.
I don't suppose you know how I can turn the SCeditor off or find an alternative ?
Just download Rin editor from MyBB extend site -

Then install and activate -> go to the ACP -> settings -> Rin editor -> set whatever you need /it supports DVZ mentions, autocomplete for username tagging, imgur, custom buttons - spoilers, etc.).
Thast all what you need. No need to change anything in templates etc. Give a try and let us know
P.S. It seems there will be new version of SCEditor sooner or later, than you can revert back to the stock editor... _

In that case I think it will be best to wait so as not to confuse my members.

CKeditor looks almost same as SCeditor, same icons - try and you will see
Any chance of finally getting this fixed please ?
It's over a year and the SCEditor has been on V2 for a while now, so it would be nice to see it in 1.8.16
