I have a mybb 1.6.8 math forum and thinking about an upgrade to newer mybb.

There are some difficulties integrating mathjax tool bar etc. But I noticed that
mysql dump getting bigger over time even if I turned off the user registration
and no new posts observed.

Can anyone tell me what's the possible reason of this? Thanks!

MyBB 1.6 isn't supported anymore. You should 100% upgrade ASAP.

Task logs and such, I would assume. Unless your forum has millions of posts you don't need to worry about how large your database is.
How much bigger? A few kilobytes, or hundreds of megabytes? Over what time period?
Thank Nathan and Matt. It's hundreds kilobytes. Mostly sessions and tasklogs, search logs.
