how do I add a background pattern to theme carbon to my site?

much help would be appreciated thank you.

Go to global.css on line 1 and add the following;

background: #111 url(images/folder/img.png) top left repeat;

You may have to do a hard refresh (CTRL +F5) to see the changes.

I added the code and did a hard refresh didn't work & also did CloudFlare purge cache with hard refresh and that didn't work :l

edit: its just a white background now

You'll have to change images/folder/img.png with the link to the background you want.
