Hey All,

I set up my board a month or so ago, got busy on another project... and came back to over 80,000 spammed threads in one sub-forum!!! Check out off-topic at the link below:

What is the appropriate way to deal with this kind of thing?

Thanks,
Keith =)
Delete the off topic forum then remake it haha
You should probably setup the stopforumspam options along with Google's NoCaptcha ReCaptcha.

Man, that is a LOT of spam...

^^ Best option feel
That/s too much spam mate, add some spam prevention plugins.
Tbh though as a test I turned off ALL anti-spam features, and still no bots are registering... (still getting known bot IPs looking at the registration form lol.)

I guess you are just really unlucky lol.
Over 4120 Pages.

110,000 threads, and by database went belly-up.

I whacked everything and reinstalled.
Once I deleted all data and users on my new board and relaunched with the different topic.

I changed security question, installed google captcha...I recently started getting spam registration again.

How a program can pass all the test.....
Are you installed tapatalk? There is a known bug with the registration from tapatalk wich bypass all security levels.
