Is is possible to disable / hide all the "Thread subscription" block when posting or replying?

you can remove {$subscriptionmethod} from the newthread & newreply templates

Can you confirm that removing the block will not:
1) Change the default choice that is: "Do not subscribe to this thread"
2) Remove the possibility to subscribe later through the link at the bottom of the thread:

^ yes, removing that block does not affect both the above cases
