Hello MyBB Team,

When someone is posting two times in a short period of time, the 2nd message is merged with the 1st one to avoid "spamming". I can perfectly understand that.

However, even several hours (days?) later, if a user is posting just behind his 1st message, it will be merged too. I find that not very convenient because no one will notice the last message/update.

But maybe I missed something?

Hi simicro,

If I recall correctly automerging is enabled for multiple posts under 24 hours. The fact it doesn't "bump" your thread under that time is absolutely intentional.

If I'm not wrong, it's more than 24 hours.

if the referred post is this then merged post was made few hours after the previous post

Correct for that post .m.

But I had another merge experience with 24h+

I have to find it to show though.
