Hello,
When I try to install mybb forum, It shows an error that mybb requires one or more suitable database extensions to
be installed and I don't have any. Can anyone help me with it ? I contacted my host and they want me to contact Mybb
to ask which extention I need ? they installed php5-mysql but it's still showing the same error, Please help me.

My host says he can't restart the apache server as Its a shared hosting,
he also upgraded my php version to 5.6, but still the same error.
He's asking which database extention dose the app need exactly ?
so he can enable it.

MySQL 5.5 is preferred with its php extension [see requirements]

you said that web host already installed php5-mysql - but it is not appearing to MyBB system.
that means there is some mis-configuration / or server needs restart !
