Hello, the sends mail by smtp does not work I try the protocol SSL and TLS but none works version mybb 1.8.11.
try using 587 for SMTP Port & TLS encryption
How i can test if it works to by registering a new user ?
you should be having "Send this Thread to a Friend" link at a thread page (near bottom)
you can use that and fill up your own regular mail ID to test the mail.
check recent entries at system mail log. any error messages listed there ?
forum admin panel >> tools & maintenance >> system mail log
^ so login to your gmail account in another tab of web browser & try using the SMTP again
Ok thanks for your help it's just that the account has been banned
if your web host provides email accounts then it would be better to use domain based mail account for forum emails.
