I'm currently running Mybb 1.8.10 and have to upgrade at 1.8.11
the matter is that I changed Admin dir name and added a custom ACP theme, plus I made custom edits to ACP files.
By upgrading using the Changed Files Package would I compromise ACP functionality?
take a backup of manually modified files so that you can redo required modifications.
changed files pack consists of admin folder. you can rename that to your custom named
admin folder before uploading so that admin folder files reach custom named admin folder.

Upgrade performed correctly. I'm at 1.8.11
Generated a full site backup and renamed ACP directory inside the changed files package before uploading it.
