I have been running <- snip -> for more than a year. Recently, I am facing a lot of spammy user registration happen in the forum. 
I Just want to control or moderate the user activation by only Admin.

Kindly Let me know if there any option available in mybb Admin panel.

forum admin panel >> Configuration (Settings) >> Login and Registration Options
>> Registration Method >> select Administrator Activation & save settings

(however, I prefer selecting Email Verification & Administrator Activation)

I got the same problem, you can try changing the security questions to something way different than just 2+2=? for example: Half-L*** 2 (The game.) etc.

i am too adding forum section in my website. is there any option available that we just limit the spam users and control them?
