I'm using latest mybb version but I get this problem with moderator tools:
Sorry, but you did not select any
posts to perform inline moderation
on, or your previous moderation
session has expired (Automatically
after 1 hour of inactivity). Please
select some posts and try again.

what is your forum url & which theme you are using ?

I use Igame theme and mybb version 1.8.11
