I installed according to the steps provided in the download file...
it dint show up
1st the forum went out and there was an error msg saying /language/English.php or something like that doesn't exist.
I then went into the file manager and uploaded the missing fine in all the "lang" folders available
now the forums are back up...
but the shout box is not showing..
its also activated from the plugins menu in the ACP
what is your forum url ?
have you added {$dvz_shoutbox} to index template of your forum's active theme ?
^ obvious query: have you also configured the plugin settings (which groups can use it) ?
Edit: try uninstalling & reinstalling the plugin.
if above doesn't help & if direct help required,
you may PM me temporary access to forum admin panel & files (FTP) to check the issue

ok tried re installing it...
it worked
but another issue has come up now...
its showing up right the bottom i.e. after "powered by"
secondly whenever I press enter after typing the page reloads and nothing happens
{$dvz_shoutbox} should be added above or below of {$forums} on the index template of the theme.
dvz_shoutbox.lang.php file should be moved to ~/inc/languages/english folder
ensure that dvz_shoutbox.js file is uploaded to jscripts folder

started working fine...
but something else happened...

like there is shout
but there is no box
please remove earlier added content from global.css of the theme
add back content from STYLES.TXT file only (nothing else)

remove whatever you have from <?php (including it) up to </script> (including it) (last but one line)
And add content from STYLES.TXT file only
