I have the latest version of mybb up on a forum and tried to install http://mybbhacks.zingaburga.com/showthread.php?tid=464 this plugin on the forum which I've used before but I'm getting this error on the plugins page on the admin cp. 
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home3/victusrp/public_html/fable-rpg.com/inc/plugins/phptpl.php on line 94

any help or advice would be appreciated! thank you!

what is your php version & have you recently downloaded & installed the plugin ?

yes I have recently downloaded it.

how do I check the php version?


EDIT: Oh is the php version on the dashboard? If so it says 5.2.17

EDIT 2: Oh I see it needs 5.3. This is on my hosts end then I believe? If I request for it to be updated will it just work or will I need to do something to the files of my site to update it?

better to have php version at least 5.4 and no need to change anything in the files after the php upgrade.
