Full Version: Bizarre IP address format

When looking at logged IPs I see something like this:


2003:006f:8b22:9000:814a:aedb:

What the heck is it?
Thats an IPv6 and soon mostly visitors will have IPv6 as ISPs are running out of IP4v.
Most of us have both an IPv4 and an IPv6 address, which are provided by our ISPs. It's up to them how we look to the rest of the world outside of the LAN. Smile
A different set of IPs. It is upto you ISP what they use. They might be using IPV6.
Does IP banning work with IPv6?
