If I create a post, I can see the video in my preview but if I post it it will not play.
I can go back in to edit it and see and play it. re-post it and it will not play?

What next?  I am running 1.8.5

go to your settings, go to "profile options" then look at Thread View Options,
tick the box that says: Display videos in posts.

I do not have a "Thread View Options" under "profile options"
Could it be in another place in configuration?
