Full Version: Can't get into the forums or the admin dashboard

I get this message:

MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.

SQL Error:1146 - Table 'web41-forummybb.mybb_datacache' doesn't existQuery:SELECT title,cache FROM mybb_datacache

Any help gratefully received!

I get it when I click to open the forums :
http://kingsleyassociation.co.uk/members/mybb/index.php

and when I try to open the admin dashboard url:
http://kingsleyassociation.co.uk/members.../index.php

.m. - do you have a solution for me?
It looks like the database is empty. Can you check using phpMyAdmin and see if the database contains any tables?
Why are you using mybb 1.6, try install 1.8 when its fresh... otherwise use the migration wizard.

I have no idea how to do that - I have inherited this from someone else who set it up and I only ever use the admin dashboard; which I can't get into because of this error.
Strange that it refers to a cache error.
Do you know your database credentials? If so you will need to log into your database (usually through your webhost) and check that the tables exist, as Nathan so rightly said.

If you can't do that, do you have a site backup? If so, install a fresh version and import plugins, avatars, database, etc.
