What settings/plugins are used to make a page be longer before becoming a new page?

i.e. people keep adding posts and at some point myBB makes a second page. How can I cahnge those settings to allow more length of posts to appear in a thread before it makes a new page?

posts per page is a admin panel setting as well as a user selectable option

forum admin panel >> Configuration [Settings] >> Show Thread Options

Yes I had found these but this is not working for me.
Firstly mine had 5, 10, 20, 25, 30, 40, or 50 posts in the selectable part, yet I had 10 posts showing
But nowhere could I find where me as a user could actually make a selection - where had I chosen 10 (when 20 was in the number per page).
So then I had removed these and I set posts per page to 30
It made no difference. STill just 10 appeared before making a new page.

what is your forum url & which theme you are using ?
provide a test user account so that someone can check it

And check the user selectable option at your user control panel options here
