Full Version: Pre-populate the subject field of Email User function

Hi, I am looking for a way that when a forum user clicks on a certian link, they are directed to the myBB Email User form, with the subject field already completed.

Ideally, it would be good to also predefine parts of the message body as well - eg to prompt supply of certain information by users clicking the link

I can see how to do this with a standard mailto: link - but these don't seem to work these days unless user happens to have their browser set up to automatically open the user's email app when a mailto link is clicked - default setting seems to be off in Chrome.

Second best option seems to be to use the email form already present in myBB

Any help much appreciated

Cheers
such facility is available for the PMs (see example)

Thanks m.

For some reason, for me the same syntax appears not to work when ?action=emailuser is substituted, (with intent to email user directly rather than PM the user)

Should this be the case?
