I moved my forum to a new host last night changed all my name servers over as well. I setup the forum edited the config.inc and the forum did work.
The problem is in the admin cp when I update the forum to come back online
it does not. I went through phpmyadmin and the update did take place but it does not show on the forum any ideas?

Admin cp > board settings > change > online/offline > set it to appear online.

If it doesn't work, make sure that inc/settings.php is writable. (CHmod 777)

I have done that, my problem is my settings don't update on my forum.

That's why you should chmod inc/settings.php.

I already did.
I also went in phpmyadmin and changed the setting via that.

I updated my forum cache and it works now.

Can you PM with a temporary account with administrative access and your FTP details?

I done a rebuild on the forum cache.

Maybe Snappo meant he changed the settings on one of the forums (not the "Board Settings")
