I know I have a mysql database on my site but during installation it says no support for a database. Is there a way I could skip this part by changing some code or something. Thanks

What error do you exactly get? There's no way you can create a forum without having a MySQL database.

You need to make sure PHP "knows" about the MySQL server. You'll probably have to enable the MySQL module in your php.ini or ask your webhost to do so.
