Hello,

I am trying to upgrade from 1.8.8 to the latest 1.8.12, however, through the upgrading process, it says, "Upgrade 1.8.8 to 1.8.8" and does not upgrade MyBB to the latest version.

Any idea what is happening?

ensure that you have uploaded all files of MyBB 1.8.12
[contents of Upload named folder - NOT the folder itself]
by overwriting almost all the files of the earlier version.
