I've had this problem for a few months now and it's driving me crazy. I've tried updates, disabling plugins, and other fixes online but nothing seems to work. My forum has been slowly dying because of this. Every time the button is clicked it either does nothing and goes back to the top of the page.

If you are running the actual version 1.8.12 you need to update your js files in your headerinclude.

Look into your acp in the template and search for updated templated.
