Of course not. MyBB is free and open source. Anyone can contribute.

Development is slow because it's a volunteer project.

I don't see any screenshots on the Github page. Just a bunch of files and whatnot.

I, myself, would love to see any visual representation of certain default parts like Admin CP, User CP and so on.

I posted a screenshot of it's ACP on the forums somewhere before when I was implementing... It was either User Sort or User Delete. It's somewhere around here.
It's being redesigned right now, a couple bits of concept art came up, but it hasn't been implemented in CSS yet.

There *was* an *unofficial* live demo, but it ended up getting infested by spam-bots.

Slightly out-of-date since User Sort, Delete, and a few other things were added. But, that's more or less the current ACP on Github.

There's a demo live here, but there are currently several bugs that I need to fix (and it's not right up to date at the minute): http://mybb2.mybb.ninja/
