The firewall at work started blocking me from posting today.   I've had the forum up for 15 months, and never had problems posting from work before.

I can still view, but when I try to submit a post, it thinks my domain site is a "placeholder" domain.

That's the category it's now filed under, and why it's blocked.

Is there some configuration with my host that could be causing this?

Is there something I can do?  I'm not going to ask my work to bypass it, or for an exception, since it's not work related.
My forum was also blocked when I was using the Dunkin' Donuts Wi Fi at the donut shop.

What can I do to stop it getting blocked by filters?

It's a sports forum.
Just an update on this.

It seems like it's blocked on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at work.

Not always exactly, but I have noticed a pattern most weeks.
which firewall actually you were referring to ..
If you please then kindly share a result after scanning your website with this tool https://sitecheck.sucuri.net it not only tells you the firewall which are blocking to you but also the cause.

Blue Coat Unified Agent.

I can make new threads, but if I use Reply or Quick Reply, I get blocked because it thinks my forum is a "placeholder" domain.

It's been like this since September 2017.

It wasn't like this earlier, from June 2016 - mid September 2017.

Some days it (meaning reply / quick reply) works, some days it doesn't.

What I've done as a work around is to create a new thread, then merge it into an existing thread.

For the most part, it doesn't seem to let me make new replies on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Although today is a Friday and I can do it. But that was a general pattern I've noticed since September.

This is on my work network.

It looks like I don't have access to the main Blue Coat Unified Agent console.
Then your only option is to use any other computer which doesn't have any connection to your corporation or disable the blue coat
