Moderators and admins can reply to a thread even though it's closed. And all usergroups use the same template for the closed button.

Just seems odd to have a closed button and have it linked, it serves no purpose, or should I say the right purpose. IMO anyhow. Thanks DennisTT

We should either leave the link or create a new template (one for users, one for staff etc).
The main reason we should not remove the link is that on forums where the Quick Reply has been disabled, it would become harder to post a reply. Other than clicking the "reply" link in one of the postbits or doing it manually in the url.
I think for conveniences sake we should just leave it in.

I think it should stay the way it is now.
