Everytime I try to install a fresh copy of 1.8, I keep getting the 505 Internal Error. But when I go to install a copy of 1.6 it works right off the back...

What's going on with 1.8?

Can you check your server error logs? This will help work out what the error actually is.

That's the problem. Nothing is coming up on it...it's a fresh installation.

I mean your server error logs. If your host provides cPanel, there will be an option to view your server error logs there. If they provide another control panel, there will be a similar option.

There's not in the server error logs, just checked. I'll see what I can do when I upgrade it.

Went straight back to the 505 Internal Error on there...

Well, after doing it from the softaculous software in the cpanel it finally worked, so this can now be closed and I can finally get things going.
