I'm planning on setting the portal page as the landing page and need to know how to display only 400 characters or less per announcement. You see, displaying the entire announcement doesnt look pretty in my opinion. Some users posts 2k+ characters per threads and it is painful scrolling down in a portal page. A portal page should be in my opinion just a glance or preview, dont you agree? I want to show 5 or 10 announcements all showing the read more link, that would be ideal.
